eFactory was presented in the meeting of the Working Group on Standards of the Austrian platform for Industry 4.0. The presentation had the objective to raise awareness about the project and its relation to the EU initiatives on digitizing European Industry, especially focusing on how standard and standardization can support these initiatives.
EVENT IMPACT
Participants of the meeting included member of the Austrian Platform Industry 4.0, including representatives from companies (incl. SMEs), ministries, patent office, research organizations such as universities and standardization bodies like Austrian Standards, OVE and IEEE. Special guest was Mr Udo Bausch, Chairman of Systems Committee Smart Manufacturing IEC. The presentation helped to raise awareness and interest in the work of the eFactory project on digitalizing European industry. The event also helped to promote the standardization activities taking place in the eFactory project.
